repsonse to my post

i had to spend time with this powerful photo essay. i decided to contemplate it publicly, sort of inviting my colleagues (many of whom work in a variety of digital spaces), so i posted this. we'll see what responses i get ...

Bill DeGenaro Would be an interesting exercise to collect a bunch of rush-to-critique headlines/exhibit names/etc. and rewrite them so as to frame "the smartphone" on the opposite end of the spectrum: The Birth of Engagement, the Most Communicative Generation Ever, etc.

Stacey Pigg It is interesting how photography renders the time as static in these. Usually when people talk with mobile devices, they move back and forth from conversing to doing whatever it is they are doing on the device.
