No, we won't wear togas and head out to the commons. Oh sure, I'm providing a handy "toga how-to" just in case you get inspired, but we will keep it simple, performing "Phaedrus" in the classroom on Monday, 1/24. Read up, get a sense of how you will deliver your lines -- are there moments where you might be:
- emphatic?
- curious?
- sarcastic?
- quiet?
- embarrassed?
- proud?
- bold?
- shy?
- excited?
- kinda sess-ay?
- alluring?
- ???
Someone asked if you had to *memorize* "Phaedrus." LOL. Absolutely not. Print pages (I'll bring extra copies). Again, togas optional (but if you wear a toga, please don't flash the Dean) :)
