Despite my strong desire to avoid conventional modes of teaching rhetorical theory (chronos, logos ...), i can't help myself. It's a matter of desire that is won out by epistemophilia and a sense of responsibility. Personally, i am rather enjoying the
organica, the
kairotica, the cross-epochal romp, but i also feel a desire
(driven by my own need for clarity? informed by recent events in my professional life?) for the somewhat more routinely "expected." Thus, i offer here a timeline that may help us to contextualize the readings we have done, select new readings, and to move on toward integrating our next conceptual unit "the nature of public and private." But so let us not give up completely. By way of moving toward the public/private concerns, give Christopher Milk's "
The Wilderness Downtown" immersive (especially if experienced at the Salt Lake Art Center), interactive, transmedia piece. Go. Enjoy.
